1316 runs across the level crossing at Isfield on Sunday 23.02.1969 with the 12:58 from Tonbridge to Barcombe Mills. In the foreground is a rarely used crossover from the Up line to the Down line. Directly south of this crossover a private siding led west into an army camp, the connection coming from the Up line but pointing north. The last traces of this siding were lifted in 1963. On the right of the DMU is a 65mph speed limit sign. Eric Kemp retains all rights to this image.
The old waiting area on Platform 2 at Isfield Station, which is now a shop. This building is actually the old waiting room from the down platform at Barcombe Mills, with the incorporated goods shed removed. The original Isfield building was moved to the Bluebell Railway and is on Platform 2 at Sheffield Park. Behind is a very pleasant seating area and garden. 02.09.2007
