Although heavily obstructed by the hedge, this 2007 view shows that the weak bridge had just been totally filled in, blocking the trackbed with a new wall. This work had apparently just finished and the contractor's sign was still on site (out of shot). You can also just see the black ends of the old tie-rods in the older brickwork. 02.06.2007

As is often the case with cross country lines, Barcombe Station is not in the village of Barcombe, and is actually at Barcombe Cross. This view of the bridge south of the station looks east. 02.06.2007
