592 (31592)

South Eastern & Chatham Railway (SECR) Wainwright C class 0-6-0, 592 (31592), arrived on the Bluebell Railway on 16 August 1970 and was last overhauled in 2007. It returned to service on 8 October 2007.

The engine was originally owned by the Wainwright C Class Locomotive Preservation Society, but ownership has now transferred to the Bluebell Railway Trust. Whilst in Departmental service at Ashford the engine also carried the number DS239.

The locomotive had some interim mechanical repairs during 2013. It's boiler certificate expires in 2017.
