32473 (Black livery)

London, Brighton & South Coast Railway (LBSCR) Class E4 0-6-2T tank, 32473, operated for some time in black livery before receiving a major overhaul.

The engine was subsequently rededicated as B473 and returned to service on 30 January 2010. Pictures of the overhaul, and images of the engine operating as B473 are in separate collections.

This engine has also carried the name Birch Grove in the past.
