Viewed from the top of the scaffolding the new plant room has nearly reached full height. Additional blockwork was being laid, with the outer red brick wall currently at a slightly lower level. 27.09.2010 5026

Standing on scaffolding which is actually above Platform 2 and looking north, the red brick wall marks the boundary between the platform and the building. Behind it is the blockwork of the interior wall of the toilets, and further to the left the blockwork wall of the carriage shed. 27.09.2010 5027

Changing position this view looks south as work starts on the installation of the roof of the new Museum area. With the changing weather the current priority is naturally to get as much of the building as possible weathertight. 27.09.2010 5039

A second view of the roof of the new Museum area, looking south, showing the carefully installed black coping stones along the eastern edge. The attention to detail is very impressive, even in areas where few people will ever see the work. 27.09.2010 5040

Although the area is still blocked with barriers, this is a further glimpse along the boundary wall next to Platform 2. Hopefully someone might engrave the year 2010 on one of the windows in the style of the 1882 markings on the original station buildings. 27.09.2010 5046
