Not exciting, but essential. A small area for the cleaners has now been created and equipped. 03.02.2011 5655

Looking south out of the shed. The waste material will be removed at a later stage, when the area has drained. On the right the pipe for the rainwater harvesting has almost reached the shed. On the left the stairs give access to the rear of Platform 2. 03.02.2011 5654

Looking down from the roof it can be seen that the approach to the shed remains waterlogged, with standing water obvious. This situation will not improve until the rainwater harvesting can be connected. The collection tank has yet to arrive on site. The decision to defer track laying appears to have been very wise. 03.02.2011 5684

At the northern end of the Museum the steps to the signal box were being trial fitted. The section of the rail preventing access to the Museum door behind will be removed, and a gate will be fitted to prevent visitors descending the steps into the Pullman servicing area, which will not be open to the public. 03.02.2011 5678

The southern end of the Museum is shining, the gloss paint having just been applied. A latex floor had just been laid and was drying. This is the northern end, the door leading to the new Museum area. 03.02.2011 5666

On the western side of the shed the old uneven base of the Woodpax building was being broken out. A new concrete strip will be laid here to drain water away from the building. 03.02.2011 5718

Someone will receive three penalty points for driving without due care and attention. Something has gone through the fence at the southern end of Platform 2 with sufficient force to take out a rail mounted sign in a large lump of concrete (not to mention the fence). Having conducted an extensive forensic investigation I can say it was red and almost certainly had rubber wheels or tracks. The contractors deny all knowledge. It missed the signal cables by a fraction. 03.02.2011 5716

It has not yet proved possible to lower the rainwater tank on to it's base (seen here). The arrowed pipe will connect into the tank, filling it with rainwater from the roof of the new building. It will then be pumped up the water tower. 18.01.2011 5537
