Sheffield Park Station
There are four collections covering the stations: (a) Sheffield Park Station; (b) Horsted Keynes Station; (c) Kingscote Station; and (d) Bluebell Railway's East Grinstead Station (including the construction).
Signal boxes have separate collections: (a) Sheffield Park Signal Box; (b) Horsted Keynes Signal Box; and (c) Kingscote Signal Box (including the old southern box).
Two collections show lineside views: (a) the line from Sheffield Park to Horsted Keynes; and (b) the line from Horsted Keynes to Kingscote.
Five galleries show the construction of the Northern Extension to East Grinstead: (a) Track improvements north of Kingscote; (b) Vowels Lane Bridge to Imberhorne Lane Bridge; (c) Imberhone Lane Tip; (d) Hill Place Farm Bridge to Hill Place Viaduct; and (e) Hill Place Viaduct (sometimes called Imberhorne Viaduct).
Please note that the vast majority of the Northern Extension pictures were taken on private land with permission. Where necessary lookout protection was provided or a possession was taken. No matter what their status no pedestrian may enter the section of restricted clearance adjacent to Turners Hill Bridge without specific authority and appropriate protection.

Platform 2 at Sheffield Park on 01.12.2009. The nearest building is the former Isfield waiting room. This had been detached from the main building and moved south down the platform. It would eventually form the Bulleid bookshop. The site it formerly occupied is filled by a temporary marquee for the Santa season.
In January 2010 construction work started on Platform 2 at Sheffield Park Station. A new carriage shed and museum were to be built together with (separately) a wash out pit for locomotives and an Above Workshops Facility for staff. The carriage shed was formally opened on 16.06.2012 when the tape was broken by 1638 in front of an invited audience. Roy Watts, then Chairman, BRPS, is suitably dressed to act as Shunter, and the crew look on, awaiting direction. 5040 The opening is covered in more detail in the main Carriage Shed gallery.
The northern end of the carriage shed looking south. Provision was made for one track (A road) to extend out of the rear of the shed by means of roller shutter to form a siding that could be used for long term storage, but this idea was abandoned owing to lack of finance. The roller shutter was not installed, but the area in which it would have fitted can be clearly seen. The concrete base was also adapted for this egress, leaving a gap where the right hand wheelbarrow is positioned. 25.03.2011 6540
